Trying to concentrate at work is hard when I'm hungry.
I'm trying to re-start my eating habits (i.e. not keep graaaaazzzzzzzzzzing all day long) & belly is not happy.

Sooooooooooooooo excited! It looks like work will be sending me to the UK for a week in May.

2:18 pm - The New Year

I don't make New Year's resolutions so that's not what this is (never keep resolutions), and this isn't a diet because I like food too much to diet.
Starting today I am striving to be more aware of what I eat and to be more active. It sounds corny but it really does help to write out everything I've eaten in a day (fitday.com) --- less likely to nosh all day when its there in my face. Also, today I walked home for lunch - Was really nice to get away, have a home-cooked meal & I smoked less then if I just sit around and read a book.
Here's to building a healthier lifestyle!

So my sister got her first ever zit right before her wedding...
I currently have 2 - right on the hairline - the biggest one I've ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness for the location... Yeah for hair to cover it up!

i hate not being able to do for myself. i hate admitting weakness. i'm really pissed off at my neck.
ordered a bunch of supplies for my team (across campus) a few days ago. they all came in today. just the effort of bringing the boxes to my desk from the mailroom (not far at all) & opening / organizing everything has strained my neck.
how the f*** am i supposed to get them all the way over there w/ out knowing that it will put me in pain all night!!!!!!!!!!! thank goodness for meghan who has offered to pull the cart for me but i hate having to do it this way. i know she's just as busy / more so than i am.
i hate having to ask for help.
thanks for letting me b****. feel little better.

brother-in-law's b-day is tomorrow.
i was going to bake a cake.
now don't have energy to bake a cake so ordered one.
told mom of cake to get executive approval.
have been given idea that no she doesn't like the cake but no i shouldn't cancel the order.

Really, life is good. Unfortunately there is bad / frustrating along w/ the good.
Went to my doctor's today to get the result from my discogram. He hadn't gotten the report yet so sent me on my way, saying he'd call me when he got it to go over the results by phone.
He called. Still hasn't rec'd the report but spoke to the pain mgmt specialist that performed the discogram. Said that he doesn't have all the details yet (will call me when he gets the full report) but that it looks like I have a tear or fissure in one of my spinal discs (C5/6 for anyone who's curious).
Do I have any clue what this means? No. Guess I'll have to wait to talk to him again once he gets the report.
Fun times.
On the lighter side... I have the bestest fiance ever!

only 4 months til the happiest day of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!
don't get me wrong... not freaked out about marrying greg.... that can't happen fast enough.
my freak out is that oh-my-goodness there is so fecking much to do for the wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
items of freak-outness:
1. haven't sent out save the date cards
2. haven't decided / researched dj's / bands (which one?)
3. haven't checked space vs layout to make sure reception works how we want
4. haven't filled out thingy for rabbi for part of ceremony
5. haven't signed up for catholic retreat
6. haven't found wedding party dresses (which translates into not knowing - so i'm told - the all important "colors")
7. haven't ordered our engagement photos (thank you nikolai - they are beautiful)
8. haven't mailed the thank you notes from our engagement party (parent's closest friends)
9. haven't done well on diet & exercise non-existant
10. haven't thought about invitations
11. haven't done so much other STUFF that just needs to be done.
phew. needed to get that off my chest. i'm done. work. nahhhhhh, gonna go online to see what i can do towards any of these things!

yeah, considering gas by my house is running (cheap stuff) $3.30 - 3.50 / gallon. gas by work (cheap stuff) is at $3.25... think i'll drive over to janss & moorpark where lovely wonderful man o mine told me the cheap stuff (doesn't sound so cheap to me) is $3.15
yeah for knowing which gas stations to look at.

12:43 pm - needle in neck

So I talked to my doctor today & since its been a year since my accident & my neck is still bugging me he suggested I have a discogram.
What is this? You ask... They insert a needle into my neck & inject dye to x-ray & see if they can get a better idea of the injuries to my neck. Slightly scary!
Now just waiting to hear back from my doc as to when I should have this done...

my cousins up in running springs...
so far they've been told that their house burnt down but then a neighbor said, no, they saw it still standing. really don't know for the moment whether they're homeless or not (thank goodness everyone is ok... cousin, wife, 2 kids, 3 bunnies, 2 hamsters). my parents have offered them use of our cabin in big bear (at least its closer to the kids' schools then palm desert - where they are right now w/ my great aunt & uncle) should the home be gone.
